In the AoZora School community we are all like brothers and sisters. Our staff and students are warm and friendly, and are very welcoming of any new children. Our aim is to provide a smooth transition for our students from their informal learning at home to the commencement of formal learning at school all within the safety and closeness of their local rural community. Classes range from lower kindergarten to year 6. AoZora has been in operation for over five years, and enrolment numbers are continually increasing. This steady increase comes as a result of the schools offer of free education.

The school accepts admission to any child regardless of race, gender, religious belief, socio-economic status or disability. As Director, I would like to give thanks to God for being ever present and for guiding the school’s development team. Without God none of this would have been possible. I would also like to give special thanks to Mr Jason Hinze and Dr Andrew Matthes from Avondale College, Australia. Their regular support is greatly appreciated.

One of the special features of the school is the full-time live in care of twelve orphaned boys. The school employs a cook to cater for the boys meals and teachers volunteer their time to care for their individual needs. The next exciting stage of the schools strategic plan is the construction of it’s own premises on newly acquired land enabling the teaching team and students to be self- sufficient from potential landlord restrictions. We welcome volunteers into to the school to assist where possible and greatly appreciate any donations that will be used in the welfare of the children and the ongoing cost of staffing and developing the school facilities.

Christian Regards,
